Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation Review
Cost: $7 - $10.
Formula: Similar to the Tarte Full-Coverage foundation; more of a mousse than a liquid.
Coverage: Medium - Full (more towards full coverage).
Color: 8 available shades; I’m in the lightest shade (Light Porcelain); I don’t find that it oxidizes much and stays true to color. Surprisingly matches my skin perfectly (which is hard to do since I’m so pale).
Blendability: Dries somewhat quickly and becomes slightly hard to blend out, but nothing too difficult.
Staying Power: 8+ hours of wear time and I’ve still yet to get oily. It hasn’t separated or gotten greasy at all. So impressed!
Best for: Oily & combination skin
Best Applied by: I find that applying with a foundation brush and blending out with a Beauty Blender (or any sponge) works best with this foundation.
Overall Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5 out of 5)
Comments: I am seriously impressed with this foundation and will definitely be repurchasing when I run out. I purchased this foundation just because I saw that it was new and had the urge to buy it. I had no intention to make this my permanent foundation but after trying it, I definitely will. It may just be my new favorite foundation.
